West Michigan producer Flats Stanlie has been quickly climbing his way up the ladder in the electronic music scene. Since winning The Untz Challenge VIII in April for his future bass track “Bloom“, the celestial lion has been drawing attention from fans around the country. His newly acquired fans won’t have to wait much longer to see him perform on some of the biggest stages in electronic dance music.
As a result of his handwork and dedication, Kollin will have the opportunity to bring his music to five states, with performances at Summer Camp Music Festival, The Untz Festival, SONIC BLOOM Festival, Electric Forest, ARISE Music Festival, and Imagine Music Festival.
Over 7,000 miles will be covered during his endeavor, severely limiting his ability to work his day job and earn an income. The West Michigan community has rallied around the producer through various methods of fundraising to assist him in achieving his dreams.
A GoFundMe has been established so that those around the country can show their support. Flats Stanlie has also teamed up with The Intersection to host a benefits show tonight, May 10th, featuring performances from Grimebag, Jon Parra and Mars B2B Fludder. Tickets are $7 and all proceeds from both the GoFundMe and benefits show will go directly to funding the five month festival tour.
Before embarking on the adventure of a lifetime, Flats Stanlie gave fans a taste of his upcoming EP, ‘Digital Astronauts’, set to be released in June.
‘Pulse‘ perfectly fits Flats’ new production style, appropriately dubbed “astrobass”. His synth-heavy approach to music alongside quick-moving arpeggiated sequences creates a highly-satisfying soundscape. The vibrancy and overall atmosphere of the song make us too excited to hear the rest of his EP.
